Week 14: Recap

December 5, 2021

We have been on a series of short weeks… and this was yet another. But, this time, it was for a great reason. Covid Vaccine 2! E woke up on Monday morning to remind me that Thursday was the big day… he was clearly already anticipating the vaccine and was growing concerned. We did our CRA work this week with the plan to take Thursday and Friday off for recovering from the vaccine should side effects occur.

Vaccine Day

There were a lot of nerves leading up to the vaccine day and apparently the night before, his anxiety got the better of him as he tried to go to sleep. But, he did fabulously getting his vaccine - so brave, with a different nurse and a mask on the entire time without an issue. He felt proud and relieved to have the vaccine behind him!

Vaccine # 2 Complete.

A few hours after the vaccine, E started to have some headache and arm ache and began Motrin. We spent Thursday together playing new iPad games which were calming puzzle strategy games. By Friday, he was back to himself and ready to spend his day creating icons, fonts, and designs for his own projects. We did however spend some time outside as well… here you can see him enjoying another day of freedom to be creative and silly.

Despite the silliness, his brain never rests. He continued to work on his new app idea by analyzing a major competitor on Friday. HIs board, filled with his thoughts about the competitor and how his app will be better.

Competitive Analysis

Vaccine Success

Overall, he had about 24 hours of not feeling great but the vaccine side effects were easily managed with Motrin and he feels proud to have done his part to bring an end to this pandemic.
